The W.A.Y. (Winning America's Youth) Ministries of Tallahassee, Inc. is a non-profit youth ministry dedicated to meeting the total needs of youth and their families through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  The ministry was established in September 1994 and incorporated on September 22, 1995. Through The WAY Ministries, the Sims family has reached thousands of youth throughout  Inter-Cities in America.  Our nation has become a nesting place for troubled youth and this generation is in great need of a message of hope and proven success.  The only message that can change the life of a person is Jesus saves and The W.A.Y. Ministries are committed to spreading the good news.

The mission of the ministry is to bridge the gap between churches, schools, and communities by meeting the spiritual, physical, social, emotional and economic needs of youth and their families.  By providing moral guidance and increase the knowledge that will foster responsible and clean living.

The facts are, many young people are faced with a life crime, violence, illegal drugs and other immoral activities and they need to be properly equipped to handle these pressures. The W.A.Y. Ministries addresses these needs by providing youth mentorship, chaplaincy services, behavioral modification workshops, employment and economic development assistance.  Areas of concentration and emphasis are placed on godly esteem building, positive peer relations, conflict resolution, family values and spiritual growth and enrichment.  

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:

The purpose of The W.A.Y. Ministries is to reach youth with the Gospel of Jesus Christ unto salvation.  The ministry targets non-delinquent and delinquent youth involved in churches, schools, communities, juvenile detention centers and juvenile justice programs.

The objectives of The W.A.Y. Ministries are:

• To advance the youths spiritual growth and enrichment; To promote the youths morals, values and personal purity;
• To influence youths to become actively involved in the local church;
• To motivate parents to take an active role in their child's development;
• To build a positive relationship between the church community, its youth and parents; and
• To encourage the church and community to become more involved with the youth in their neighborhoods.

Are You in the WAR!

The War against terrorism and world violence is a War worthy of fighting for our national security and freedom as Americans.  However, as I share this message with you, there is a much more confrontational enemy in our own back yards, streets, and communities across this great nation.

What is this War about?  The souls of hundreds and thousands and even millions of America’s youth that are either trapped in Satan spider webs unable to untangle themselves or are seeking the love of Christ and in need of a Good Samaritan.   

War and battle is indicated throughout the Old Testament and New Testament.  Many of these battles were fought for many causes. What is Satan’s eternal plan?  He wants to lead as many young people into hells’ fire and eternal damnation as he can. But we must be passionate about our burden and calling to reach this populace, because the devil will not stop “taking out” our youth until his work on earth is done. Neither should we turn our heads the other way when confronted with teen issues.

There is a strategy to making a difference in the lives of youth. Our mission is simple, yet effective, reach them were they are!  Go do what God is calling you do!  Go to the schools, go to the juvenile detention center, go to churches, and go to their communities.
