The Capital City Christian Cruisers

The Capital City Christian Cruisers (CCCC) Track and Field Club is a component of The W.A.Y. Ministries. The WAY Ministries is a community-based outreach youth ministry dedicated to meeting the spiritual, social and physical needs of young people and their families by collaboratively bridging the gap between the church, school and community. The ministry is committed to meeting the following needs:

SPIRITUAL NEEDS: This aspect of the ministry is to build sound moral character and value systems through spiritual foundation and biblical teaching.

SOCIAL NEEDS: This aspect of the ministry provides youth with strong coping skills, peer relations, self-image enhancement and conflict resolution skills.

PHYSICAL NEEDS: This aspect of the ministry is designed to instill discipline, work ethics, self-control, and perseverance by setting and attaining desired goals.

The C.C.C.C. Track and Field Program started in the summer of 1995, with 17 youths and grew to over 75 youths last year. One of the major reasons our program is successful is because of our parent support. Great emphasis is placed on how well our coaches, parents and youth interact with each other in a positive matter. In order to strengthen this bond between parents and coaches, our intent is to create an atmosphere that involves the entire family. As our youth culture constantly changes, so should our approach and our delivery of services to inter-city youth and their families. Our approach is to evangelize youth of America thought sports.
